Tim Griggs, Publisher and COO of the Texas Tribune, will deliver the 2015 Keynote. As we explore how public media can be “Managing Dynamic Change” throughout the 2015 PMBA Annual Conference, Griggs will discuss during his keynote how the Texas Tribune is creating innovative ways to deliver news, create partnerships, provide data, and produce events to engage a growing audience. Take advantage of all Washington DC has to offer by participating in evening activities with fellow conference attendees. PMBA is organizing a sightseeing cruise on the Potomac on Wednesday, May 27 - What a great way to see the monuments spectacularly illuminated at night! Then, on Thursday, May 28, you are invited to the NPR headquarters where you can enjoy a cocktail reception, take tours of the building, and mingle with some of NPR personalities. The 2015 PMBA Annual Conference will take place at the Washington Marriott Georgetown. The Marriott provides an outstanding facility for our conference and location for you to see all Washington, DC has to offer. PMBA has reserved a block of rooms for conference attendees at the discounted rate of $189 per night for a single room or $199 for a double room, plus tax. Rooms can be reserved at the PMBA rate on the following website: https://resweb.passkey.com/go/PMBA. Rates and rooms are subject to availability. The room block is available until Friday, May 1, 2014.
Attendees have the opportunity to select from 47.5 available CPE credit hours (11.5 at Pre-Conference Workshops at 36 Concurrent Sessions) to earn up to a maximum 23.5 CPE credit hours (11.5 at Pre-Conference Workshops and 12 at Concurrent Sessions) during the 2015 PMBA Annual Conference.
Apply for the 2015 Sid Brown Scholarship
PMBA is accepting applications for the Sid Brown Scholarship. Since 1996, PMBA has offered the Sid Brown Scholarship, awarding the winner each year travel expenses (hotel and airfare not to exceed $1,000) to the Annual Conference as well as a complimentary registration. The scholarship honors the late Sid Brown, NPR's Vice President for Finance and Administration, who died in 1994. For information on how to apply, click here.
