Maureen Hughes

Director, Finance & Administration
St. Louis, MO

Maureen Hughes began her career as a CPA with PWC specializing in the ever complex health care industry. After six years, she transitioned to the corporate finance department of a very large NFP health care system gaining experience in mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, tax exempt bond issues, IRS and Medicare compliance and audits and more. Desiring to contribute her talents in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment where decisions are made more quickly, she served as CFO for several small/medium firms in several different industries. In October 2013, as a fan of St. Louis Public Radio, she spotted an opening there, jumped on it and has been living the dream ever since. After many years of living in the suburbs of St. Louis where good school districts exists, Maureen now lives in and loves the City of St. Louis with all of its diversity and issues. Further, Maureen now has a commute of only five miles to STLPR which is located in the arts and culture area of mid-town. She has a passion for social justice and volunteers in some of the poorest areas of the City. Maureen joined the PMBA Board of Directors in June 2017.
