2015 Sid Brown Scholarship Call for Nominations

To Attend the 2015 PMBA Annual Conference

The Public Media Business Association (PMBA) is the "go-to" trade association serving the business needs of the public media. Participation in PMBA enables member stations to benefit from access to public media business intelligence, training, and exercise of collective benefit. Since 1996 PMBA has offered the Sid Brown Scholarship, awarding the winner each year travel expenses (hotel and airfare not to exceed $1,000) to the Annual Conference as well as a complimentary registration. The scholarship honors the late Sid Brown, NPR's Vice President for Finance and Administration, who died in 1994.

Requirements:
Applicants must be employed by a public radio or television station, and must attend the entire conference. PMBA membership is not required. 

Criteria Considered:

  • Your Public Broadcasting Experience
  • How the conference relates to your job
  • If your station would not otherwise be able to send you
  • Your station's financial circumstances

Submission:
Letters of submission must address the requirements and criteria and include a resume.

  • The deadline to receive submissions is Friday, April 3, 2015
  • The winner will be notified no later than Friday, April 17
